Journey DNA LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the PoolChecker website and application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website.

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Service, and may include:

• Contact Data: First name, last name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code.
• Service Data: Details regarding your pool dimensions, chemical readings, and required services.
• Professional Data: Company information, business type, service area, and credentials for pool professionals.

We use the information we collect or receive to:

• Provide the calculations and action plans requested within the PoolChecker tool.
• Facilitate the connection between you and local pool professionals, as explicitly requested by you through our lead generation form.
• Send you an SMS One-Time Passcode (OTP) to verify your phone number and ensure the integrity of our network.
• Respond to your customer service inquiries.
• Communicate new PoolChecker features and updates.
• Manage professional accounts and process lead transactions.

If you elect to receive text messages from us (for OTP verification or Service updates), message and data rates may apply. You may receive automated text messages related to your Service request. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may opt-out of receiving text messages from us at any time by replying "STOP" to any message you receive from us. For assistance, reply "HELP".

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information provided below. We will respond to your request within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Deleting your account (PoolChecker Pro)

Team members (technicians and managers) can delete their PoolChecker Pro account at any time from within the app or web app under My Account → Delete Account. Deletion is verified by an emailed code. When an account is deleted, the sign-in is permanently destroyed and personal details (name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and location history) are removed, including from historical notes and photos, which are re-attributed to an anonymous "Former Technician" label. Business records of work performed (service visits, timesheets, and similar operational records) belong to the company that employed the account holder and are retained by that company in anonymized form, or as required by law.

Company owners cannot delete their account while they own a company, because the company's data and any billing relationship depend on it. An owner can first transfer ownership to another team member, or use Settings → Your Data → Delete My Data to delete the company's data — after which their account qualifies for deletion as above. You can also request deletion by contacting us at the address below.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Service, to understand how it is used, and to measure our advertising.

• Analytics. Google Analytics measures visits to poolchecker.com, such as the pages viewed, the type of device and browser, and how you arrived.
• Ad measurement. On our page for pool service companies (poolchecker.com/pro), we use OpenAI's advertising pixel to measure and improve our ads on OpenAI's platforms, including letting OpenAI decide who sees them. It sets two cookies on poolchecker.com, which our app at app.poolchecker.com can also read: one holds a reference to the ad you clicked (kept for 30 days) and one is a random browser identifier (kept for one year). It sends OpenAI page and button-click events, and it may detect contact details entered on that page and send them in hashed (scrambled) form. If you sign up for PoolChecker Pro after clicking one of our ads, our server tells OpenAI that a company was created, along with that ad reference, the browser identifier, a hashed copy of your email address and phone number, your IP address and your browser type. We never send information about your customers.
• Your choices. Use the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of any page to turn off analytics and ad measurement in your browser. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load the ad pixel or report your sign-up to OpenAI. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features may not work without them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Privacy Policy means you accept and agree to the changes.
